OBECHI VENEER - the standard veneer used in covering white foam wings. Koto veneer - a similar wood, lighter in colour. Sapele veneer - a dark brown wood with a nice grain pattern - heavier than obechi. For all sorts of veneers try: J. BLUE FOAM Your first step is to look in your local Yellow Pages under Insulation Materials. The variety used by most modellers is Styrofoam I.B. (Dow Chemicals). The largest UK supplier is Sheffield Insulations with outlets in most areas of the country.
