June Diary
Walking the woods I came across (for the first time) a sprawling Honeysuckle in flower. It's white/yellow colour suggests a garden escapee? Other flourishing plants are the Dog Rose (right) and Buttercup. Some of the tall grasses were 'smoking' masses of pollen as I brushed past them.
. . . . The end of June now and there's not a lot to report other than the fact I saw two shrews - one dead and one very much alive by the brook. Also there seems to be a lot of hedge woundwort (right) and fewer foxglove this year. |
